Our prices per audio minute below are for digital or mini disc recordings. Our audio tape transcription service is based on an hourly rate and we are also equipped to convert both minidiscs and videos for subsequent transcription. If your speech was transmitted as a podcast or webcast, we provide transcription for those too.

Having spent time and money on detailed planning, it's vital to ensure that the recording is of a high standard in order to capture the lecture or speech. Most professional venues have their own in-house equipment, or are happy to advise on recommendations for audio visual companies who can take care of this for you. If you have a choice, we strongly recommend choosing a digital recording method. This results in high quality recordings which in turn reduces transcription costs and turnaround times.

ALL RECORDINGS are listened to a second time and all transcripts are proofread by the Director, Irene Boston, before being sent to clients. There is no extra charge for this service. Not all transcription companies do this, some don't even proofread, so make sure you ask the right questions before choosing a service.

If you have digital files, you can Upload them securely via this website to ensure prompt delivery to our transcription team. We can also download your audio sound files directly from your website if you prefer, or you can post CDs. Should the speech have been recorded on standard audio tapes or minidiscs, we can still provide an audio transcription service. We always convert any minidisc or analogue recordings into digital format where possible, which cuts out on repeated stops and starts and increased wear on precious original recordings. Subsequently, we can also provide you with that digital re-recording free of charge, provided the originals are clearly audible.

Our default transcript style is Intelligent Verbatim which is the most cost effective method of transcription. Please read our definitions of the types of transcript we offer to choose which format is most suitable for your needs. We use a standard format and layout for all transcripts but should you wish something different, please let us know. As with all our transcriptions, we provide a transcript code for each document to signify areas which are inaudible or unclear.

We would recommend giving as much advance notice of your speech and lecture transcription requirements as possible, preferably contacting us before the event. This will allow us to reserve space in our schedule. Most professional transcription companies have a long list of regular customers so book your transcription company in advance, the same way you would the event venue.
